Counting of the votes to the Lok Sabha elections in India is already underway with all eyes whether or not the Bhratiya Janata Party’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi would see a third term.

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, May 4 (HBTV): Counting of the votes to the Lok Sabha elections in India is already underway with all eyes whether or not the Bhratiya Janata Party’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi would see a third term, and equally whether the Indian national Developmental Inclusive Alliance bloc would be able to make a dent.  

In Nagaland, which has one Lok Sabha seat, there are three candidates: Chumben Murry of the BJP-allied Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party; S Supongmeren Jamir  Hayithung Tungoe Lotha as an Independent candidate, and S. Supongmeren Jamir of the Congress.           

Polling in Nagaland took place in the first phase of the Lok Sabha election on April 19. The total voter turnout from the total 13,17,036 electors in the State was 57.72%.
